About

We are a survivor-led social enterprise, influencing policy and practice in Wales in relation to Violence Against Women Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (VAWDASV), delivering training, expertise and providing speakers for service providers and the media.

We previously existed for three years as a project under the umbrella of Welsh Women’s Aid but now operate as an independent and autonomous Community Interest Company.

How we work

As a newly formed Community Interest Company, we are developing and finalising our policies and procedures. The coronavirus crisis has pushed us forward a little faster than intended since we want to be ready to respond to this huge challenge that the VAWDASV sector is facing. We give our thanks to Social Business Wales for supporting our development.

Our work is focused on generating improvements in services for survivors and those experiencing domestic abuse. Our policies and practice are informed by our lived experiences of engaging with a wide range of services. We understand what works and what doesn’t because we have been there and we continue to engage with and learn from many other survivors throughout the course of our work. This is how we ensure the quality and impact of our work.

More than ever, during this unprecedented time of lockdown, our services are needed as the voice of survivors and victims of domestic abuse. We are deeply concerned that support services are not mobilising quickly enough to support women and children who are in current danger due to abuse.

Support for service providers

If as a professional partnership you would wish for a member of SEEdS Wales to accompany you on call-outs, act as a support, or provide expertise to inform your decision-making email us on info@seedswales.org.

We will be adapting our services to continue delivery as far as possible during the lockdown.
